PHONÉT. ,,Qui a trait à la glotte et aux cordes vocales`` (Ling. 1972). En théorie chaque type possède une nasale sans vibration glottale, ou sourde (SAUSSURE, Ling. gén., 1916, p. 72).
— Emploi subst. fém. ,,Type de consonne dont le point d'articulation est en arrière du palais et qu'on rencontre en anglais (house, he) ou en allemand (haben, Haus)`` (PHÉL. Ling. 1976).
